Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through Enhanced Development Cooperation in East and North-East Asia

Format *
East and North-East Asian (ENEA) economies play an important role in foreign aid. They are key providers of development assistance. Their development experiences and strategies continue to shape development cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. This Report addresses: global and regional trends and opportunities on development cooperation; the ENEA experience in development cooperation; issues and challenges of development cooperation in the subregion; and enhancing development cooperation to achieve sustainable development. The varying experiences of the ENEA economies – most notably, their transition from being recipient to donors - could provide important lessons in development and the 2030 Agenda.
