About the product

This publication will be used by the United Nations Environment Program in its future global, regional and national training courses. Although the Manual is directed primarily at those in government and academia, it would also build awareness of environmental law among the private sector and the wider public. The Manual focuses on three main themes: Part I offers an overview of environmental law; part II reviews the major international environmental law conventions and other mechanisms; and part III discusses national legal regimes. This timely publication fills a void in the area of professional materials on environmental law.
