About the product

Up until now there has been no specific treatment of small firms in economic theory. This study attempts to provide the reader with points of particular interest in the light of recent developments in the theory of the firm, in industrial organization and industrial economics and policy. The paper discusses and summarizes the main theories of the firm and their limitations, and it analyzes the relationship between efficiency and firm size. It also examines the technical and productive as well as the social and organizational aspects of the firm.
