United Nations Global Compact Annual Review

The United Nations Global Compact Annual Review takes stock of the efforts undertaken by business participants and other key stakeholders to advance the ten principles and development, as well as peace, responsible investment, business education and broader UN-business collaboration. It also features findings from the Global Compact Annual Implementation Survey.

United Nations Global Compact International Yearbook

The aim of the Global Compact International Yearbook is to create a global overview of the achievements of the UN Global Compact. As an independent publication, it offers proactive and in-depth information on key sustainability issues to stakeholders and promotes unique and comprehensive knowledge exchange and learning in the spirit of the Global Compact principles. The publication helps to advance transparency, promotes the sharing of best-practices, and, perhaps most significantly, gives a strong voice to the regional and global actors that are at the heart of the initiative. Therefore, the yearbook includes good practice examples of corporate participants and showcases different approaches to the implementation of the ten principles. In addition, a substantial editorial framework will highlight major trends and issues, globally and regionally, placing the activities of Global Compact participants in a broader context.

United Nations Global Crisis Response Group Briefs

As governments and households continue to face immense pressure from the once-in-a-generation cost-of-living crisis, including skyrocketing and volatile energy prices, due to the war in Ukraine, the United Nations is calling for energy policy measures that link the need for urgency and long-term sustainable development. Food and fuel prices, as well as tightening finance can have important effects on their own, but they can also feed into each other, creating vicious cycles of poverty, hunger, and inequalities. This catastrophe has been years in the making, but since the war in Ukraine, it has become unbearable for many countries. The United Nations Global Crisis Response Group Briefs will help decision-makers to mobilize solutions and develop strategies to help countries address the interlinked crisis with food, energy, and finance.

United Nations Series on Development

United Nations Statistical Yearbook / Annuaire Statistique des Nations Unies (Ser. S)

The Statistical Yearbook provides a comprehensive compilation of internationally available statistics on social and economic conditions and activities, at world, regional and national levels, for an appropriate historical period. Most of the statistics presented in the Yearbook are extracted from more detailed, specialized databases prepared by the Statistics Division and by many other international statistical services. Thus, while the specialized databases concentrate on monitoring topics and trends in particular social and economic fields, the Statistical Yearbook tables aim to provide data for a more comprehensive, overall description of social and economic structures, conditions, changes and activities. The objective has been to collect, systematize, coordinate and present in a consistent way the most essential components of comparable statistical information which can give a broad picture of social and economic processes.

United Nations Trade and Development Report

The Trade and Development Report (TDR), launched in 1981, is issued every year for the annual session of the Trade and Development Board. The Report analyses current economic trends and major policy issues of international concern, and makes suggestions for addressing these issues at various levels.
