Digital Economy Report

The rapid spread of digital technologies is transforming many economic and social activities. However, widening digital divides threaten to leave developing countries, and especially least developed countries, even further behind. The Digital Economy Report, formerly known as the Information Economy Report, monitors trends and policies related to access, use and impact of digital technologies from a development perspective. It informs development stakeholders in developing countries and provides guidance to policymakers. Published every other year, this flagship report is recognized as an authoritative source of data related to ICT, e-commerce and the digital economy, and analysis of their implications for trade and development.

Disability at a Glance

The Disability at a Glance series, which started in 2006, serves as a companion for policymakers, statisticians and representatives of organizations of, and for, persons with disabilities in Asia and the Pacific. These publications aim to provide a regional overview of disability policies and practices, as well as relevant country data and information.


DMFAS Programme Annual Report

The Debt Management Financial Analysis System (DMFAS) Programme is a world leading provider of technical cooperation and advisory services in the area of debt management. Integrated as a key activity of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Programme has been successful in helping governments improve their capacity to manage debt for nearly 40 years. It has so far worked directly at the country level with 74 countries (mostly low and lower-middle income) and 115 institutions. It is firmly established as a leading provider of debt management expertise. Embracing international and domestic finance, governance and information technology, the Programme aims to help governments build their capacity to manage debt effectively. The Programme follows four-year strategic plans, based on a performance framework which clearly states the outputs, activities and indicators of achievement for each of the Programme’s objectives.


ECE Energy Series

UNECE’s work on sustainable energy is designed to improve access to affordable and clean energy for all and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the region. It promotes international policy dialogue and cooperation among governments, energy industries and other stakeholders.  The focus  is on energy efficiency, cleaner electricity production from fossil fuels, renewable energy, coal mine methane, natural gas, classification of energy and mineral reserves and resources, and energy security.

ECE Innovative Performance Review

Innovation Performance Reviews are a major new focus of work for the Economic Cooperation and Integration Division. Initiated at the request of member state Governments, they are a participatory policy advisory service examining possible policy actions to stimulate innovation activities, enhance innovation capacity and improve the efficiency of national innovation systems. Reviews follow outlines agreed upon with requesting Governments, and are prepared in collaboration with international and national experts, and the  UNECE secretariat.


ECLAC Books / Libros de la CEPAL

A series of monographs that examine, in a regional scope, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UNECLAC)'s outlook in different areas. Since 2014, this series merged with the series "ECLAC Notes". Titles in this series are grouped in four subseries: Economic development, social development, sustainable development and planning for development.

Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific

The Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific monitors regional progress, provides cutting-edge analyses and guides policy discussion on the current and emerging socio-economic issues and policy challenges to support inclusive and sustainable development in the region. Since 1957, the Survey has also contained a study or studies focusing on a significant aspect or challenge relevant to the economies of Asia and the Pacific region.


Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Biennial Report

The Official Records of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) are a series of publications relating to the proceedings of ECOSOC, one of the principal organs of the United Nations; they include verbatim or summary records of the meetings of the organ concerned, annexes and supplements. ECOSOC, one of the six main organs of the United Nations established by the UN Charter in 1946, is the principal body for coordination, policy review, policy dialogue and recommendations on economic, social and environmental issues, as well as for implementation of the internationally agreed development goals. ECOSOC serves as the central mechanism for the activities of the United Nations system and its specialized agencies, and supervises the subsidiary and expert bodies in the economic, social and environmental fields. 


Economic Governance Report

The Economic Governance Report is the biennial publication of the UN Economic Commission for Africa. The series studies pertinent economic governance and public finance issues in Africa through research and policy analysis to provide policy recommendations for the policy-making authorities, researchers, think tanks and other relevant development partners.
