External Trade Bulletin of the Arab Region

This Bulletin presents data and statistical indicators on external trade in goods in the member countries of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The data for this series have been primarily drawn from national sources and from secondary sources when needed. The aim of this Bulletin is to provide detailed data on intra-regional and international trade in member countries for policymakers, analysts, researchers and other users at the national, regional and international levels.


Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean is an annual series published in English and Spanish by the Unit on Investment and Corporate Strategies of the Division of Production, Productivity and Management of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC). In addition to analyzing the global evolution of foreign direct investment flows, the series details the amounts received by Latin American and Caribbean countries each year and presents a regional forecast. It includes an analysis of the patterns in the origin and destination of these investments. The reports also look in depth at the effects of FDI on employment in the region.

This magazine on trade promotion, export development and import methods is published by the International Trade Center. It is part of the technical cooperation programme between the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the World Trade Organization (WTO), developing countries and economies in transition. The magazine is published quarterly in English, French and Spanish.

International Accounting and Reporting Issues

The United Nations has been contributing towards the harmonization of financial accounting and reporting standards since the 1970s. In order to address accounting and financial reporting issues on a continuous and inclusive basis, member States established the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) in 1982. The Review of International Accounting and Reporting Issues series contains the proceedings of the various session of ISAR as well as essays by leading experts on the implementation of international accounting standards and the current state of the international standard-setting process.


International Trade Statistics Yearbook (Ser. G)

This publication is issued in two volumes which offer a comprehensive view of the topic. Volume I: Trade by Country, compiled in May of each year, presents detailed data on imports and exports by commodity and trading partner. Volume II: trade by Commodity contains the detailed tables showing international trade for a variety of commodities and world trade tables covering trade values and indices. The presented data, charts and analyses will benefit policymakers, government agencies, the business and finance sectors, non-government organizations, civil society organizations, journalists, academics, researchers, students and anyone who is interested in trade issues.

Key Statistics and Trends in International Trade

This yearly publication is a product of the Trade Analysis Branch, Division on International Trade and Commodities (DITC), UNCTAD secretariat. It informs on recent trends in international trade and provides illustrative statistics on international trade and their evolutions in the medium term. It covers various aspects of international trade including trade in goods and services; south-south trade; intra and inter regional trade; trade in primary, intermediates and final products; and trade at the sectoral level. It also provides country specific indicators on export performance such as export diversification, commodity dependence, export propensity, export competitiveness and export sophistication.


Latin America and the Caribbean Demographic Observatory / Observatorio Demográfico América Latina y el Caribe

Demographic Observatory presents estimates and projections of the population of the 20 countries of Latin America, for the period 1950-2100. Demographic Observatory follows a standard format containing information that is updated annually and is prepared by CELADE-Population Division of ECLAC.

SME Competitiveness Outlook highlights needs to recognize the impact of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on inclusive economic growth to close global productivity gaps. SMEs are the missing link to sustainable economic growth and are fundamental to addressing inequality and ensuring greater inclusiveness. SME Competitiveness Outlook highlights country-specific constraints most relevant to business success by breaking them down into three key pillars: the ability of SMEs to connect, compete and change. The publication analyses these determinants of SME competitiveness at the level of companies, their business environment, and national policy.


State of World Population

The State of World Population is an annual report published by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Each edition covers and analyses developments and trends in world population and demographics, as well as shedding a light on specific regions, countries and population groups and the unique challenges they face.
