Acts and Documents Concerning the Organization of the Court/Actes et documents relatifs à l'organisation de la Cour
This series consists of the International Court of Justice's various basic documents as adopted and amended since its creation. Seven bilingual editions (English and French) have been published since 1946, the latest being in 2021. They include the Charter of the United Nations, the Statute of the International Court of Justice, the Rules of Court, the Practice Directions, the Resolution concerning the Internal Judicial Practice of the Court and a number of other texts. These volumes also include exhaustive indexes in both the official languages of the Court.
Bibliography of the International Court of Justice/Bibliographie de la Cour Internationale de Justice
The Registry of the Court usually prepares a bibliography of work and documents that relate to the institution and that were collected during the previous year. Bibliographies Nos. 1-18 formed Chapter IX of the Yearbook and the Annuaire up to the 1963-1964 edition. Subsequent bibliographies were issued as separate fascicles between 1964 and 2003. Starting with Bibliography No. 58, they are published digitally. Le greffe de la Cour prépare généralement une bibliographie des travaux et documents relatifs à l'institution et qui ont été rassemblés au cours de l'année précédente. Les bibliographies nos 1-18 ont constitué le chapitre IX du Yearbook et de l'Annuaire jusqu'à l'édition 1963-1964. Les bibliographies suivantes ont été publiées sous forme de fascicules séparés entre 1964 et 2003. Las últimas décadas han sido testigos de una expansión de iniciativas intergubernamentales y de otro tipo para desarrollar enfoques conjuntos ante la migración. El Diálogo Internacional sobre Migración (IDM) de la OIM ha desempeñado un papel pionero al reunir a todos los actores de la migración, a nivel global, para mantener debates libres y abiertos sobre las oportunidades y desafíos que presenta la migración. El IDM es el principal foro de la OIM para el diálogo sobre políticas migratorias. Fundado en 2001 y arraigado en la Constitución y la Estrategia de la OIM, el IDM está abierto a los Estados Miembros y Observadores de la OIM, así como a organizaciones internacionales y no gubernamentales, migrantes y socios de los medios de comunicación, el mundo académico o el sector privado. El IDM proporciona un espacio para analizar cuestiones actuales y emergentes en la gobernanza de la migración e intercambiar experiencias, enfoques de políticas y prácticas efectivas. Cada año, la IDM se guía por un tema general seleccionado por los miembros de la OIM a través de un proceso de consultas informales. El tema anual se elabora durante talleres que reúnen a responsables de políticas migratorias y profesionales de todo el mundo. Las publicaciones de esta serie presentan informes de las sesiones y ofrecen a los lectores una recopilación de datos relevantes, evidencia, mejores prácticas, enfoques innovadores y recomendaciones relevantes para la implementación del Pacto Mundial tal como fueron compartidas por expertos en migración, gobiernos y profesionales en esas reuniones.
Dialogue international sur la migration
Ces dernières décennies ont vu se multiplier les initiatives intergouvernementales et autres visant à développer des approches communes en matière de migration. Le Dialogue international sur la migration (DIM) de l'OIM a joué un rôle pionnier en réunissant toutes les parties prenantes de la migration, au niveau mondial, pour des discussions libres et ouvertes sur les opportunités et les défis que présente la migration. Le DIM est le principal forum de l’OIM pour le dialogue concernant les politiques migratoires. Fondé en 2001, il offre un espace pour analyser les problèmes actuels et émergents en matière de gouvernance des migrations et pour échanger expériences, approches politiques et pratiques efficaces. Chaque année, le DIM est guidé par un thème primordial choisi par les membres de l'OIM à travers un processus de consultations informelles. Le thème annuel est élaboré lors d'ateliers réunissant des décideurs et des praticiens des politiques migratoires provenant du monde entier.
International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) Special Bibliography / Bibliographie spéciale sur le Tribunal pénal international pour le Rwanda (TPIR)
Since the establishment of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) by the UN Security Council in 1994, a substantial volume of judicial records has been produced documenting the trial and appellate processes at the ICTR. Those processes have, over years of judicial activity, produced a new, unique and evolving jurisprudence in the field of international criminal justice. That jurisprudence has inspired a large number of legal professionals and scholars around the world to carry out research on a number of novel issues arising from prosecuting the crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes at an international level. The impact of the ICTR jurisprudence on the quest for the generation of new knowledge has been demonstrated by the global response to the compendious Special Bibliography compiled by the Legal Library.
International Dialogue on Migration
Past decades have witnessed an expansion of inter-governmental and other initiatives to develop joint approaches to migration. IOM's International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) has held a pioneering role in bringing together all migration stakeholders, at a global level, for free and open discussions on the opportunities and challenges which migration presents. The IDM is IOM’s principal forum for migration policy dialogue. Founded in 2001 and rooted in IOM’s Constitution and Strategy, the IDM is open to IOM Member and Observer States, as well as international and non-governmental organizations, migrants, and partners from media, academia or the private sector. The IDM provides a space to analyse current and emerging issues in migration governance and to exchange experiences, policy approaches and effective practices. Every year, the IDM is guided by an overarching theme selected by the IOM membership through a process of informal consultations. The annual theme is elaborated during workshops bringing together migration policymakers and practitioners from around the world. Publications in this series present reports of the sessions and offer readers a compilation of relevant data, evidence, best practices, innovative approaches and recommendations relevant to the implementation of the Global Compact as shared by migration experts, governments and practitioners at those meetings.IOM Migration Research Series
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) conducts and supports research designed to guide and inform migration policy and practice.
