The Disability at a Glance series, which started in 2006, serves as a companion for policymakers, statisticians and representatives of organizations of, and for, persons with disabilities in Asia and the Pacific. These publications aim to provide a regional overview of disability policies and practices, as well as relevant country data and information.

This series is a source of overall consumption statistics of energy commodities in all sectors and provides detailed information on production, trade and consumption of electricity, net installed capacity and thermal power plant input and efficiency for selected countries. It provides energy balances for a specific number of developing countries, showing production, trade, conversion and consumption in energy units for all energy products. Global Report on Trafficking in Persons
The Global Report on Trafficking in Persons is issued by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and provides a global assessment of the scope of human trafficking and what is being done to fight it, based on data gathered from 155 countries. It offers a global assessment of the scope of human trafficking and what is being done to fight it in the context of the United Nations Protocol against Trafficking in Persons from 2003. It includes: an overview of trafficking patterns; legal steps taken in response; and country-specific information on reported cases of trafficking in persons, victims, and prosecutions.
Handbook for Parliamentarians
Parliaments and parliamentarians have a key role to play in promoting and protecting human rights. This Handbook aims to assist parliamentarians and others in efforts to realize the Convention so that persons with disabilities can achieve the transition from exclusion to equality. It seeks to raise awareness of the Convention and its provisions, promote an appreciation of disability concerns, and assist parliaments in understanding the mechanisms and frameworks needed to translate the Convention into practice. By providing examples and insights, it is hoped that the Handbook will serve as a useful tool for parliamentarians to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities all over the world.
Human Rights Fact Sheet
The Human Rights Fact Sheet series is published by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, United Nations Office at Geneva. It deals with selected questions of human rights that are under active consideration or are of particular interest. Human Rights Fact Sheets are intended to assist an ever-wider audience in better understanding basic human rights, what the United Nations is doing to promote and protect them, and the international machinery available to help realize those rights.

La série de Notes de politique d’ONU Femmes offre, sous un format accessible, une synthèse de résultats de recherche, d’analyses et de recommandations sur des domaines clés des politiques relatives à l’égalité des sexes et aux droits des femmes. Elle vise à combler le fossé qui existe entre la recherche et la politique en identifiant les questions qui appellent à une attention urgente et en proposant des mesures susceptibles de les résoudre. Cette série est le fruit d’une collaboration entre la Division de politique d’ONU Femmes et la Section des recherches et données, qui en a assuré la coordination. Afin de garantir la qualité et la pertinence de son contenu, chacune de ces Notes est passée par un processus d’examen interne et par une revue externe assurée des pairs.
