Bulletin of Industrial Statistics in the Arab Region

This Bulletin aims at providing detailed data on industrial statistics for Arab countries to be used for evidence-based analysis and policymaking. Data are drawn primarily from national sources, in addition to other sources whenever needed. Figures based on national sources are jointly compiled and verified by the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization and the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. The publication is meant to be a reference for accurate and reliable data and statistical indicators from national sources covering the entire Arab region. It is designed for use of the public and private sectors, experts and researchers in the field and the regional and international organizations.


National Accounts Studies of the Arab Region

The UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) collects data for the "National Accounts Studies of the Arab Region" publication primarily from responses to questionnaires, national statistical offices and other official sources. ESCWA hopes that this publication will benefit economists, social researchers and planners.


Statistical Abstract of the Arab Region

The Statistical Abstract of the Arab Region presents time series statistics and indicators on core areas of economic and social development in ESCWA member countries. Facts and figures of the Statistical Abstract were drawn primarily from national statistical sources in Arab countries, responses to questionnaires prepared by ESCWA and data issued by international organizations, mainly by specialized United Nations entities.

These briefs and papers from the Secretary-General of the United Nations feature advisories, guidelines, resources and materials about the vast array of issues of international concern that are on the Organization's agenda. In these, the Secretary-General seeks to advance the interests of the world's peoples, in particular the poor and vulnerable among them, and the principles and ideals on which the Organization was founded.
