About the product

While the natural resources of this part of the Middle East have supported the coastal populations for thousands of years, the marine environment has recently been degraded as a result of a wide range of land-based sources and activities. UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme), commissioned the present report on land-based sources and activities affecting the marine environment of each Member State of the ROPME sea area - Bahrain, Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
