About the product
This Report contains background papers on selected issues of population and development prepared by various experts in the field with a view to providing information to representatives attending the Fifth Asian and Pacific Population Conference. The main theme of the Conference was “Population and poverty in Asia and the Pacific”. It is hoped that the papers in this volume will be useful to planners, policy makers and researchers.
