Vulnerability Profiles

This series of reports present the vulnerability profile of selected least developed countries, as mandated by General Assembly resolution 59/209 of 20 December 2004. The reports are intended for use as a background document for the Committee for Development Policy deliberations on the preparedness of these countries for graduation from the least developed country (LDC) category.

World AIDS Day Report

The World AIDS Day Report series is published by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) in Geneva. It focuses on the issues related to the AIDS epidemic and looks in-depth at problems faced with ending HIV/AIDS altogether. Facing an infectious virus, failure to make progress for key populations undermines the entire AIDS response and helps explain slowing progress. Strengthening international cooperation and solidarity is key, because we can only end AIDS by ending AIDS everywhere.

World Cities Report

The study of urban development is the main objective of the World Cities Report series. Merging the State of the World Cities Report and the Global Report on Human Settlements, these reports highlight new forms of collaboration and cooperation, planning, governance, finance and learning that can sustain positive change. They demonstrate that the current urbanization model is unsustainable. The message is that the pattern of urbanization must change in order to respond to the challenges of our time, to address issues such as inequality, climate change, informality, insecurity, and unsustainable forms of urban expansion.

World Drug Report

The World Drug Report provides an annual overview of the major developments in drug markets for the various drug categories, ranging from production to trafficking, including development of new routes and modalities, as well as consumption.
