UNAIDS Global AIDS Update
The reports in this series make clear that there is a path to end AIDS. Taking that path will help ensure preparedness to address other pandemic challenges, and advance progress across the Sustainable Development Goals. The data and real-world examples in the reports make it very clear what that path is. Some leaders are already following the path and succeeding.
United Nations Juridical Yearbook
Pursuant to resolution 1814 (XVII) of 18 December 1962, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to publish a juridical yearbook which would include certain documentary materials of a legal character concerning the United Nations and related intergovernmental organizations as presented in an outline annexed to the resolution. The United Nations Juridical Yearbook has since been published on an annual basis reviewing legal developments starting from 1963.
United Nations Legislative Series
In 1950, the International Law Commission considered ways and means for making customary international law more readily available, in accordance with article 24 of its Statute. The Commission recommended, inter alia, that the General Assembly of the United Nations should authorize the Secretariat to prepare and issue, with as wide a distribution as possible, a Legislative Series containing the texts of current national legislation on matters of international interest. In this connection, it was recommended that the Secretariat should assemble and publish from time to time collections of the texts of national legislation on special topics of general interest. The Legislative Series is prepared by the Codification Division of the Office of Legal Affairs. The first 25 volumes in the Legislative Series have addressed a broad range of special topics of general interest relating, inter alia, to the law of the sea, the law of treaties, nationality, diplomatic and consular law, international organizations, State succession, non-navigational uses of international watercourses, jurisdictional immunities of States and their property, the multilateral treaty-making process as well as the prevention and suppression of international terrorism. The legal materials contained in this series have included not only national legislation but also treaties, judicial decisions, diplomatic correspondence and other relevant materials depending on the topic.United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) Reports
Since its inception in 1955, UNSCEAR has been issuing numerous major publications, including this report series. These reports are highly regarded as principal sources of authoritative information.
United Nations Treaty Series / Recueil des Traites des Nations Unies
In accordance with Article 102 of the Charter and the relevant General Assembly Resolutions, every treaty and international agreement registered or filed and recorded with the Secretariat since 1946 is published in the United Nations Treaty Series. At present, the collection includes about 30,000 treaties reproduced in their authentic languages, together with translations into English and French, as necessary. / Conformément à l'article 102 de la Charte et aux résolutions pertinentes de l'Assemblée générale, tous les traités et accords internationaux enregistrés ou classés auprès du Secrétariat depuis 1946 sont publiés dans le Recueil des traités. The World AIDS Day Report series is published by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) in Geneva. It focuses on the issues related to the AIDS epidemic and looks in-depth at problems faced with ending HIV/AIDS altogether. Facing an infectious virus, failure to make progress for key populations undermines the entire AIDS response and helps explain slowing progress. Strengthening international cooperation and solidarity is key, because we can only end AIDS by ending AIDS everywhere.
Yearbook of the International Court of Justice
A Yearbook is published annually in which an account is given of the work of the Court during the period ranging from 1 August of the preceding year to 31 July of the current year. This publication, previously produced in two editions, one in English (Yearbook) and one in French (Annuaire), is now published in a single bilingual volume. The Yearbooks/Annuaires were published in cloth hardbound form until 1963-1964 and have been printed paperbound since then.
