About the product

The first part of this report reviews migration trends in 15 Central and Eastern European Countries during the period 1997-1998. The second part takes an in-depth look at some key migration issues affecting Central and Eastern Europe. Since the end of the 1980s the CEECs have been faced with a new set of migration policy challenges, which resulted in the establishment of new administrative and legislative systems to cope with population movements.
