The publication is based on case studies conducted in Nepal, Canada and Finland, results of which established that the economic contribution of women, including the unremunerated work and products generated, could be fully measured, valuated and reflected in the economic indicators through 'satellite accounts' without disturbing the existing System of National Accounts. Each part of the book clearly defines the theoretical framework and the valuation techniques applied. Tables and texts are accompanied by graphs and figures.
