About the product
Trafficking in human beings constitutes a violation of human rights; it infringes a person’s human dignity, personal liberty, freedom of movement, privacy and right of self-determination. It also violates the prohibition of slavery by subjecting the trafficked person to slavery-like practices and compulsory work, and is to be equated with cruel and inhuman treatment. This publication aims to contribute to the protective component of the fight against human trafficking, predominantly concerning the human rights dimension and the protection of, and assistance to, victims of trafficking.
