A decade after the Bush-Gorbachov unilateral declarations on tactical nuclear weapons, this class of arms is again a cause for concern. This study looks further into the problem of tactical nuclear weapons in the post Cold War world. The first part of the report examines the developments in the United States-Russian relationship, and gives concrete policy recommendations. The second part outlines the different definitions and concepts concerning tactical nuclear weapons. This publication also includes statistics and tables showing the types, the delivery systems and the locations of tactical nuclear weapons throughout the world.
