This publication is a summary of the information and conclusions presented at the workshop on Methyl Bromide Alternatives for North African and Southern European Countries. It describes also a number of alternatives to methyl bromide in soil fumigation and agriculture applied by North African and Southern European Countries. The book highlights the priority to work with farmers on technology transfer, information dissemination, and programmes to promote alternatives as well as the importance to share knowledge and experience about alternatives to assist the early phase out of methyl bromide in North Africa.
