Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2009

格式 *
After six years of uninterrupted growth, the GDP of Latin America and the Caribbean is expected to fall by 1.8% and per capita GDP by close to 2.9% in 2009. But the objective of regaining sustained growth poses fresh and complex challenges. The countries of the region now face the fundamental task of generating and expanding policy space. To do this, they must increase resources, create instruments and strengthen institutions, particularly those involved in coordination.
