The aim of this publication is to ensure a high level of safety in transport and to provide a uniform regulatory framework, which can be applied in all countries for national or international transport by any mode of transport. The Recommendations were first published in 1956 and are updated every two years. This 12th edition contains the new provisions for the transport of gases and various revised provisions concerning the list of dangerous goods most commonly carried, dangerous goods packed in limited quantities, lithium batteries, packing instructions and transport documentation. This CD-ROM will run in PC environment equipped with Pentium processor, CD-ROM reader, a screen of at least 800 by 600 pixels and displaying at least 256 colours, Microsoft Windows 9X or any other OS supporting pdf files, 16 MB of available RAM, 10 MB of available hard-disk space and Adobe Acrobat Reader 4 (included in the CD-ROM).
