About the product

In a well documented analysis of the motives for entering into east-west joint ventures, supported by full statistical coverage of their scope and activity, the publication examines trends in joint venture formation and the practical experience of setting up and operating joint ventures located in six European CMEA member countries (i.e., Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the Soviet Union). Most of these countries have recently embarked on foreign trade and economic reforms, part of which purpose is to attract foreign investors to take part in joint ventures. A comparative commentary is provided on the relevant legislation of these countries.
