Six key demographic indices were used: mid-year population disaggregated by age and sex; population by single year of age (5-24) and sex; age-specific fertility rates, total fertility rate, crude birth rate and sex ratio at birth; life expectancy at birth, crude death rate, and infant mortality rates; life tables for males and females; and annual net migrants by sex.
