About the product
With the objective of assessing the impact that projects sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have on the environment of Latin America and the Caribbean and to identify lessons that can be applied in orienting future UNDP investments, this publication analyses 22 projects sponsored and financed by UNDP. These projects are located in seven countries and represent a wide diversity of natural ecosystems, ecozones and geopolitical features. Among the areas covered are: the appropriateness of assigned resources; the relevance of programmes and projects within the regional environmental agenda; the quality and quantity of outcomes achieved; the effect of these outcomes on sustainable human development; and the sustainability of results.
