About the product
To monitor the progress towards Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), countries need a well-functioning statistical system, able to produce accurate, complete, timely and accessible data. The publication provides an assessment of the capacity of national statistical systems to produce and disseminate such data. It also identifies the statistical areas where further work is needed and makes a set of recommendations to address such challenges.
