About the product
This study was presented as background material at a meeting of experts on globalization, technological change and gender equity held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in November 2001. It shows how restrictions imposed by globalization and technological changes make it difficult to achieve gender equity in Latin America and the Caribbean. This review’s aim is to strengthen efforts to promote economic equity between men and women within the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and in selected countries of the region.
