About the product

The 1992 Earth Summit produced Agenda 21, which highlights the importance of listening to children when it comes to protecting the environment. The 1998 UNEP Children's Painting Competition was a step towards doing just that. Children from all over the world were invited to paint on the subject of the ozone layer and this selection of pictures from the finalists shows not only how much these young people are concerned about ozone depletion, but also how effective they can be in communicating the nature of the problem. These paintings are delightful to look at and inspire us with their energy, creativity and visual sophistication.
