About the product

Young people are at the center of the global HIV/AIDS pandemic. They also are the world’s greatest hope in the struggle against this fatal disease. Today’s youth have inherited a lethal legacy that is killing them and their friends, their brothers and sisters, parents, teachers and role models. More than two decades into the epidemic, the vast majority of young people are uninformed about sex and sexually transmitted infections. This report explains why we should focus on young people, offers a ten-step awareness and prevention strategy and also provides statistical tables on countries around the world. It also underscores the urgent need for governments and civil society everywhere to work with young people on effective prevention, and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
