The International Environmental technology centre (IETC) was established 1994 by the United Nations Environment Programme. One of its main functions is to promote the application of environmentally sound technologies in developing countries and countries in transition. This publication presents an impressive collection of papers on wastewater management, presented at a conference held from 4 to 5 December 1997 at Murdoch University, Perth Western Australia.
