About the product

The issue of good governance keeps surfacing as a key area of concern in poverty alleviation. This publication analyzes the situation in six developing countries namely: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Viet Nam, in order to fully understand the extent of GO-NGO (Government-Non Governmental Organization) collaboration for poverty alleviation. It seeks ways and means of further strengthening the cooperation between these two sectors and leads to recommendations to mitigate the adverse effects of the macroeconomic adjustment measures on the rural poor.
