Trafficking in migrant women in seen as increasing at an alarming rate. Many women lured by the promise of lucrative job offers abroad, unwittingly accept the services of migrant traffickers. This report provides an overview of the trafficking in women to Japan. It offers a case study of 100 women from the Philippines who had been trafficked to Japan. The results of the study provide information on the profile of women trafficked to Japan and will serve to help shape policy reform to address this issue.
