About the product
Young people are bombarded daily with information on global issues such as violence, poverty, hunger, prejudice and environmental degradation. Education for Development helps young people make the link between global issues and local concerns and shows how they can apply what they learn to their own lives and communities. Packed with illustrations, it also provides teachers of all subjects and all levels with exciting and practical classroom activities that can be integrated into the existing curriculum. Education for Development is divided into five sections that explore the central concepts: interdependence, images and perceptions, social justice, conflict and conflict resolution, and change and the future.
