About the product
This Review is a part of an ongoing effort by the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to examine and illustrate the main issues for tackling urban poverty in the cities of Asia and the Pacific. It discusses the concerns that have emerged within the context of urban poverty reduction in recent years, and covers topics such as factors critical to poverty reduction, stakeholder involvement and the importance of good governance. The publication also contains a selection of practices that show the variety of challenges facing the cities of the region and the ways in which governments are addressing them.
