This Trainer’s Guide provides session outlines on a full range of human rights topics, group exercises, and instructions and tips for trainers. It also includes a number of training tools such as overhead transparencies used in conducting police training courses. It is a component of a three-part package of materials for human rights training for police. The package also includes a training Manual and a Pocket Book of human rights standards for police. The package is designed to provide all the necessary elements to conduct human rights training programmes for law enforcement officials in accordance with the approach developed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
