This publication evaluates the most relevant aspects of migration management in all Central American countries (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama), paying special attention to operational aspects. Issues covered include current migration policies and legislation, trafficking of people, border area movements, seasonal workers, migration information records, infrastructure, and deportations and expulsions. The book’s main objective is to assess the state of migration administration in Central American countries, thus providing both national authorities and regional entities with relevant information to be used to strengthen programmes implemented by Central American Migration Agencies.
