About the product
This CD-ROM contains a comprehensive set of demographic indicators for the period 1950-2050. It contains the full set of indicators, as well as the full set of estimates and projections of national populations by five-year groups, and gender, as they appear in volumes I and II of World Population Prospects 2002 revision. Also included are a number of datasets displaying results of the 2002 revision that are available only in digital form. The dataset figures used for the period 1950-2000 are based on estimates, while those for 2000-2050 are projected figures. Various variants are applied to the projected data to allow the user to observe data patterns under different scenarios. Variants applied include: low, medium, high, and constant fertility variants, N0-AIDS variant, zero-migration variant, and instant-replacement-fertility variants. The data is also presented in different facets i.e by country, region and globally. System requirements: PC with windows, 32 MB RAM (minimum).
