This paper defines the criteria for establishing the ecotoxicological hazard of wastes. The ecotoxicological impact of a chemical substance or waste is measured by its ability to act toxically on organisms in the environment as well as on exposure of the organisms. For this reason, the classification criteria used in this paper takes into consideration the toxicological properties of the substance and their exposure-related properties.
