About the product

These proceedings are adopted from an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conference held in Stockholm in May 2001. The meeting was held in cooperation with the World Customs Organization, INTERPOL, EUROPOL and the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate. It focused on the threats, including terrorist, to nuclear and other radioactive materials, their assessment, and the appropriate security measures. Important issues discussed include: patterns and trends in the illicit trafficking of nuclear and other radioactive materials, national and international measures to combat such trafficking, lessons learned, and appropriate steps for the future.
