About the product

The restructuring transition of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from closed economy to open market economy is strongly influenced by resource constraints and the processing of information. This thesis reveals how SMEs that hold a comparatively stronger bargaining position at the outset of the transition are better able to restructure successfully than their weaker counterparts. It provides a more complete understanding of the SME restructuring process highlighting the importance of dependence relations between enterprises.
