Comprehensive Tables

Format *
The 15th published estimates and projections of world population since 1951 is based on the latest research and forecasting by the United Nations. The 1998 Revision shows a devastating toll from AIDS with respect to mortality and population loss. Graphs, charts and tables present the background and featured issues, world trends, and technical aspects as well as the numbers themselves; the analysis of data includes regional and national estimates under different variants and scenarios, and such measures as the expected years of life for an average woman during child-bearing ages 15-50 years. This volume presents the comprehensive tables for the publication and is part of a three volume set; the other volumes will provide the sex and age distribution of population for all countries and a description of results, methods and sources.
