This publication provides access to United Nations documentation by series symbol, subject, body responsible for the series symbol and title of the series. The list of symbols is alphanumeric and includes such information as the document series symbol, a series title if the document represents a recurrent publication and the dates of the years when a symbol began and ended. The subject index provides topical search by title of series while the corporate name index provides search by the United Nations body responsible for the symbol. If the publication is recurrent, search is by the title of the series. This cumulative list of official document classification symbols also defines and explains all abbreviations and symbols used.
