About the product
This publication aims to assist national Governments, the international community and the public at large to better assess the situation of older people five years after the Second World Assembly on Aging convened in Madrid, Spain. This first review and appraisal of the Madrid Plan of Action highlights priorities, recent trends and national policy developments in the five UN regions in the world. This publication has taken a bottom-up participatory approach that allows old people express their views on policies.
