Regional Connectivity For Shared Prosperity

Format *
As networks in the Asian and Pacific region become increasingly integrated and interdependent, the future of regional connectivity will depend on how closely Asia-Pacific countries work together. Regional strategies presented in this Theme Study can be the basis for this cooperation. However, success will depend on strengthening institutional coordination between Governments, both across sectors and across borders. Greater cooperation is also needed to identify new sources of finance for developing regional networks. To move the region's connectivity agenda forward, Government should enlist the support of the private sector, academia and civil society, which are the ambassadors and potential beneficiaries of enhanced regional connectivity.
