About the product

The International Environmental technology centre (IETC) was established 1994 by the United Nations Environment Programme. One of its main functions is to promote the application of environmentally sound technologies in developing countries and countries in transition. This publication presents an impressive collection of papers on wastewater management, presented at a conference held from 4 to 5 December 1997 at Murdoch University, Perth Western Australia. The broad areas covered by the papers are: Policy and standards, on-site aerobic systems, sludge treatment and nutrient removal, reuse and treatment systems, wetland systems, case studies, low cost systems and advanced treatment.
