Monitoring Reproductive Health

Format *
The Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) recommends that governments set up national databases to provide necessary baseline data and information that may be used to measure the progress of ICPD goals that include reproductive health and family planning. In view of this goal, a regional project was implemented to strengthen the performance monitoring and evaluation systems being used in reproductive health and family planning. This publication presents the findings of this project as it progressed in six countries in Asia and the Pacific: Bangladesh, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Viet Nam.
