This volume focuses on institutional mechanisms for integrating environment into economic policy-making in selected countries of the ESCAP region. In particular it examines existing institutional arrangements at the national and local level, their effectiveness, and analyzes the structure and process of monitoring and enforcement.The study presents the challenges that countries meet in order to better integrate environmental considerations into policy-making and policy implementation.
