The Forum enabled the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to assess jointly both the achievements of the past 25 years and the challenges for the future. This publication is intended to serve as a contribution to the ongoing debate on the role of industrialization in socio-economic development in a globalizing world.
