Handbook of the International Comparison Programme

Format *
The International Comparison Programme is a world programme to produce estimates, comparable across countries in real terms, for the gross domestic product (GDP) and its main aggregates. In the process, purchasing-power parities (PPP) are obtained and used instead of exchange rates for converting data into a common currency. This publication describes in detail the requirements of the GDP expenditure data and offers guidance on item selection, price collection and related country operations.
