This Database describes a machine-readable database named Global Review and Inventory of Population Policies 1993 (GRIPP:1993). Chapter I provides an inventory of 190 individual country positions on a subset of the variables included on the diskette. Chapter II consists of statistical tables indicating the relative frequency of different policy positions. The Annexes provide summary descriptions of the variables in the database. The current data on population policies include such topics as: population growth, mortality, fertility, internal migration, immigration and emigration.
