This discussion paper provides information on the list of projects being undertaken by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the Food and Agricultural Organization (UNECE/FAO), including their patterns of assistance. The projects were implemented under resolution H3, which calls for forestry assistance to countries with economies in transition. The primary objective of this paper is to make available information about forestry work carried out by the UNECE/FAO to a broad audience. It also aims at stimulating dialogue and contacts among specialists.
