About the product

This study investigates the linkages between foreign direct investment (FDI), competitiveness and trade performance in developing countries of South-east Asia and Latin American. This is an old topic that has been revived in recent years due to the globalization of economic activity and to the recognition that transnational corporations (TNCs) play an increasingly important role in trade and competitiveness promotion. This publication also examines the policies that developing countries can adopt to exploit investment and trade linkages and enhance their dynamic comparative advantage. In an increasingly globalized world economy, countries have little alternative.
